Apple Fritters


  • 3 large tart cooking apples
  • 1 1/3 cup sifted flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2/3 cup milk

Cooking Instructions:

  1. Stir together dry ingredients in a medium size mixing bowl, set aside. In a small mixing bowl beat egg well, whisk in milk. Add egg mixture to flour mixture.
  2. Peel, core and slice apples. Dip in batter and fry in hot oil (365 degrees) for 2-3 minutes, turning once. Dust with confectioners’ sugar.
